Words from your Administrator

Brothers and Sisters,

Due to the bad economy, decreasing membership, and lack of member participation, your board of officers had to make some hard decisions. Members attending the membership meeting accepted their decisions. Two major decisions were (1)

to suspend Bingo Games until March 1st. (2) To change operating hours of the

“Social Quarters” for the winter months. We have never been without bingo since

I joined in 1987. It’s going to be hard to survive without Bingo. This decision

was made because the number of bingo players attending the games had diminished

to a level that we were “losing money when having the games”. Hopefully the economy will improve and we will again have prosperous bingo games so we can donate more to the community. Due to time restraints, I have turned in my resignation as Administrator” effective November 16th. Nick Krajacich has been appointed “Acting Administrator” to succeed me on that date. We at Ashland have a great Social Quarters and other facilities. We need more members to visit the Social Quarters and support their Lodge. Remember, visit the Lodge, sign a member, volunteer, and participate in the “give me five program”.

Check out our web site for activities and notices. It would be great if some members would get their “Bulletin” on line instead of by mail. It would save the Lodge printing and mailing cost. Come out Friday November 6th to enjoy: WII Bowling and Poker Games.

Thanks,

Dennis McNamee
